MOONSHINER'S RIDGE
Exterior Front View of Moonshiner's Ridge, a 1 bedroom cabin rental located in pigeon forge
About this property
Long before the Smokies were the vacation capital of the East, they were known for their infamous moonshiner hideaways?and MOONSHINER'S RIDGE pays tribute to that colorful Appalachian past. In the mid-1900s, when Dolly Parton was a little girl growing up around Locust Ridge, the deep hollows and wooded creeks of these mountains were still home to local moonshiners operating hidden stills. In fact, the people behind this legendary mountain tradition would have been among the neighbors and characters who made up the world of her childhood. Your stay at MOONSHINER'S RIDGE celebrates that unique piece of Smoky Mountain history, all from a setting that still feels wonderfully tucked away in the hills.
The vaulted living room has a cozy gas fireplace and plenty of space for the whole crew to gather around the 55" LED TV to catch the big race. Head back into the full kitchen with a breakfast bar to prep the meals you'll be craving after a day of adventure in the nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Kick back and sip your favorite drink at the outdoor bar table or relax in the deck rockers while you fire up supper on the charcoal grill. Head down to the screened-in patio and soak in the peace and quiet of the Smokies from the bubbling hot tub.
Ready for a little friendly competition? Challenge your crew to darts or a game of pool in the game loft, complete with a 42" TV so you don't have to miss the action.
Hidden away in the mountains near the West Prong of the Pigeon River, MOONSHINER'S RIDGE combines seclusion, mountain fun, and a nod to the spirited Appalachian history that helped shape these hills. Book your stay and experience a true taste of the Smoky Mountains!
